How do I use the Advanced Leave Function?

Step 1: Access the Advanced Leave Request Page

  • From the standard leave request dialog, click the Advanced button to open the advanced leave request form.

Step 2: Set Approvers

  • In the Details section at the top:
    • You can change the approver for each stage of the approval process.
    • The list of approvers is configured by HR and may vary depending on your department or role.

Step 3: Select Leave Dates

  • In the Calendar section:
    • View the leave calendar for the current year.
    • Select your leave dates by clicking or dragging across the calendar.
    • Selected dates will be highlighted in blue.
    • You can add or remove dates anytime by clicking on them again.

Step 4: Modify Part-Day Requests

  • Click the Part Day Selector tab to adjust selected dates:
    • Depending on the leave type, you can change each date to:
      • Morning
      • Afternoon
      • Full Day
      • Custom Hours
    • If you choose Custom, enter the specific hours for your leave.

Step 5: Check Department Availability

  • Use the Who Else is Off section to view:
    • Upcoming leave for others in your department.
    • This helps avoid scheduling conflicts.

Step 6: Add Supporting Information

  • In the Supporting Information section:
    • Add comments or attachments relevant to your leave request (e.g., medical certificates, travel plans).

Step 7: Set Notifications

  • In the Notifications section:
    • Specify additional people who should be notified about your leave (e.g., team leads, project managers).

Step 8: Submit Your Request

  • Review all details.
  • Click the Submit button to send your leave request for approval.
