Department Requests

Department requests are a powerful tool within the software that allow you to apply specific types of leave or company-wide events to a large group of employees at once, rather than individually. This feature is particularly useful for managing events that affect multiple employees, departments, or the entire organisation simultaneously. For example, Christmas shutdown, company training days, and special events.

Below you will see how to set up a department request:

  1. Select HR Hub> Absence > Department Requests:

  2. Select the plus icon to add a new department request:



  3. Populate the Mandatory Fields marked with a *, and choose the Type, Status, and the Date/Date Range that the request should be applied to:



  4. Select the Applies to tab and choose how you would like to apply the Department Request to your employees. Whether that is by department, teams, public holiday categories, or employment policies:



    you can also include or exclude specific employees:



  5. Once you're happy with your selection, select the Save button in the top left corner of the screen.
