Activ Absence allows the Administrator to dictate which Unplanned Absence types are excluded from the calculations of an employee's Bradford Factor Score.
As you tailor your system, you may want to exclude any new, or existing, Unplanned Absence types from impacting this score.
To exclude an unplanned absence type, please follow the instructions below:
- Select Administration > Absence > System Configuration
- Select Absence from the tab options on the following screen.
- Scroll down to Absence types excluded from Bradford Factor
- Select any Absence types that you wish to exclude from the Bradford Factor by clicking in the boxes alongside each type.
- Select Save in the top right corner:

*Please note that any absence records entered before excluding the absence type will need to be removed and re-created in order for the system to calculate the score properly.
